Founder

Hi, I’m Sam — founder of 5StarStayz.

Born and raised in Wollongong, I originally studied a Bachelor of Science in Sydney before realising I thrive in hands-on environments. That led me into the trades, where I explored carpentry, plumbing, and electrical — ultimately completing a four-year electrical apprenticeship.

My partner and I later purchased a luxury apartment in Wollongong’s CBD. What started as an Airbnb experiment quickly became a passion. After moving out permanently, we successfully operated the property across multiple platforms for over three years — achieving between 200–300% of traditional rental returns.

Today, I help property owners do the same: maximise revenue, simplify hosting, and turn their properties into standout short-stay rentals without the stress.
